The Software Application Developer III develops project initiation and senior –level application design deliverables (such as System Design Document) and develops and implements complex software applications. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Software Application Developer III is responsible for the content and development of critical software design artifacts, such as System Design documents, Database Design Documents, Interface Control documents and so forth. Designs, develops, codes, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software of complex software applications. Performs maintenance on existing software products and contributes knowledge of business applications. Contributes as necessary to the development of all project artifacts throughout the system development life cycle. Required Skills KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Hands on experience with WebCenter Suite Application Development Framework (ADF) is required Knowledge of CMS ILC Framework highly desired Knowledge of general programming and software development concepts Ability to link through data and technical services to other COTS packages Has followed disciplined software development processes and worked in integrated service environments Ability to work independently or under only general direction Experience leading, directing and mentoring teams of 5-7 junior staff Ability to multi-task, be extremely organized, work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and be very detail oriented Excellent oral and written communication skills QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (may be substituted with sufficient work experience) 5-8 years of professional experience in software or application development Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc. Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of time. Work Environment: Individual’s primary workstation is located in an office area.
