Job Description:
This client-facing, hands on infrastructure architecture/implementation engineer will design and install enterprise server and application solutions for financial services BPO. Ensures that the standards and procedures are followed during design and implementation of information systems and responsible for monitoring the systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance.
Working knowledge of server based, distributed, web, storage, telecommunications technologies
Knowledge of business and technical requirements analysis process
Excellent Technical Project Management skills (can create a mini-project plan)
Ability to understand business strategies and relate to IT initiatives
Document the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures
Experienced with clustering and high availability concepts
Monitor system performance and capacity and provide reports to management
In coordination with IT Security Team, assist with periodic reviews and provide summary reports
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science or related field preferred
Four or more years of product design and support or systems development experience
Experience working with software development life cycle, methodologies, design and implementation
Experience working with product systems design principles, relational databases, firewall theory and configuration
Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems, hardware and software
Experience working with company software and hardware products and related business issues that may impact overall business plans
Experience working with mainframes, scheduling software and other relevant technologies
Experience working with the entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance
Other Qualifications:
Analytical and design skills at multiple product level
Communication skills to communicate with customers, support personnel and management and for providing documentation to relevant parties
Problem solving skills, creative thinking, and design skills for design and debugging of products
Data analysis and software testing skills to test modifications and enhancements
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
