xxxx476 - Description:Sales Manager is responsible for: managing accounts to achieve guest satisfaction; and ensuring all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded by soliciting past and new business. Requirements include: the ability to effectively communicate with guests in a friendly and positive manner; the ability to meet/exceed client needs; and resolve complaints; and knowledge of departmental interaction and organizational structure in a hospitality context.Interstate is an EEO/AA/M/F/D/V employer.Direct Sales: Targets results-oriented high revenue potential sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program, in accordance with goals established by department budget and marketing plan. Must have own reliable transportation and possess a valid state drivers license in order to make sales calls.Yield Management: Utilizes yield management techniques by profitably negotiating room rates and function space commitments in order to enhance the hotel's financial performance.Manages and maintains the following : Electronic Marketing Efforts Collateral programs Project Management Internal/External Communication on projects and initiatives Web Sites – Comprehensive on-line marketing Logos, photography digital library.Requires knowldegde of general sales techniques. Requires yield management experience. Requires highly developed customer service skills. Requires ability to hear, speak, read and write English fluently. Requires 12th grade level mathematics, spelling and reading skills. Requires effective business writing skills. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
