xxxxxxxx - Job Descriptions: This position will be responsible for managing the sales for one of our divisions which is located in WV. The position which is located in Columbia MD will require someone who has a solid history of selling wooden pallets and packaging products & services. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for sale of GSS products and services through developing and maintaining customer contacts within assigned area of responsibility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: × Serve as the primary interface between plant and customer × Manage and develop Key Accounts including finding opportunities for new products and business opportunities × Generate new business by prospecting, conducting market analysis and cold calling × Provide exceptional customer service and consider all possible actions to be taken to meet customer demands × Identify any operational issues that might arise and resolve them with the appropriate internal teams. × Accurately request sizing requirements of product and communicate with Production Manager. × Develop key field sales relationships with targeted national accounts. × Subject Matter Expert in pallet & packaging sales × Drive the entire sales process: targeting prospects, identifying needs, qualifying leads, meeting decision makers & key influencers, identifying and selling against obstacles, negotiating and closing. × Responsible for setting of and deliverance of key accounts and measuring for efficiency and effectiveness × Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed. × Complete requests for information and proposals on job bids. × Coordinate sales activities as it pertains to accounting and logistics × Consistently use the Company''s CRM tool for purposes of tracking activity, follow-up actions required, and planning. × Interpret and evaluate contract provisions. × Ability to apply business math to manufacturing processes Required Experience: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: × 5-8 years of previous pallet & packaging sales; with a minimum of 4 at the National Account Management level × Working expertise of Microsoft Office products × Proven track record of new business development, account manager of existing business and knowledge and experience in sales and marketing of polymers × Able to operate in a fast-paced and changing market environment EDUCATION: Business or Marketing Degree preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: × Attention to detail and accuracy × Professionalism, interpersonal skills and good communication × Experience with wood package (pallets, skids, crates) preferred × Experience with lumber markets ideal × Problem solving, Decision making skills. × Organization and information management skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel crouch, or crawl.
