Columbia client is seeking someone with strong events experience. Candidates must have extensive events experience from planning through the day of execution. Specific Responsibilities: Member/Consumer Relations: Maintain database of members’ demographic information in excel log and Membership Module Responsible for new member processing (ongoing) and membership renewal (families and professionals) Responsible for new corporate business sponsor processing and renewal Responsible for coordinating newsletter production on a quarterly basis to include compilation of articles, layout and updating of information Staff toll free helpline as needed Assist support groups as needed Represent company on various committees Clerical: Responsible for project-specific mail merges (labels, postcards, letters, and envelopes) Responsible for receiving and distributing incoming mail, voice mails, and preparing outgoing mail Maintain files, office supplies, materials, and equipment Create organizational publications Responsible for updating website by communicating updated information to web designer Responsible for updating social media with new events and news Provides staff support for events as directed Assist with grant reporting Event Management: Organize, plan, and execute fundraising activities and special events Train and supervise event volunteers Maintain event budgets Communicate and collaborate with event sponsors Seek out new event sponsors Responsible for creating and maintaining event websites Create event publications Write thank you letters to sponsors and contributors Other duties as assigned by Executive Director Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred Strong interpersonal skills Professional writing, verbal, and organizational skills required Proficient with computer management and software applications Proficient in Microsoft Windows XP Professional and MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher) Proficient with design software, including Adobe InDesign and Photoshop Great time management and flexibility, ability to multi-task.
