Located in Sumter, SC, this position reports directly to the EHS&T Engineer. Performs a variety of tasks consisting of performing highly confidential clerical duties (ie. typing correspondence, filing, departmental meetings and training sessions, and other meetings and training sessions as required, preparing presentation graphics, assisting with budget preparation) and handles other special projects as assigned. Uses personal computer, Word, Excel, PowerPoint software, calculator, fax and copy machines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Provide high-level/confidential administrative support for Environmental, Health, Safety, Security & Training, Engineering Manager and other areas as assigned.
* Support associate training & development activities, including data entry into Excel, databases, scheduling and coordinating/facilitating onsite and offsite training, compiles and distributes training materials, and acts as liaison with outside training services.
* Establish and maintain all training files via paper copy or scanned
* Perform all related duties associated with Plant Local Process Coordinator (LPC) for the Compliance to Capability (C2C) Learning Management System (LMS) Department Learning Associate (DLA)
* Kronos payroll activities for the Engineering Department (answer questions; solve payroll discrepancies, etc.)
* Reconcile assigned purchasing card(s)
* Participates in 5S duties as needed per the department (mail, office supplies etc.)
* Coordinate, develop, schedule, present and/or provide various training according to prescribed deadlines, 'Ancillary Training' through classroom, Computer Based Training (CBT) venues or others
* Develop, create, change, revise and present documents and procedures
10. Serve as the Accident Incident Reporting System via the WEB
(AIRSWEB). Responsible for data entry and creating applicable
tracking/trending reports as needed. Collect and track metrics associated
with targets and milestones and report monthly on status
11. Facilitate regular (Sustainability) Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and
training committees; working directly with supervisors and managers to
implement needed risk prevention engagement
12. Material Safety Data Sheet Vault Administrator assistant
13. Support departmental activities such as (Job Hazard Analysis, Risk
Assessments, Incident Investigation, Element Subject Matter Experts,
Training, Presentations collect data and post information on AIS etc.)
14. Assist in the identification, analysis, and control of occupational hazards requiring
the application of professional EHS knowledge, skill, and abilities via site
inspections
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
* Requires a HSD/GED. Associates degree in Administration or Training preferred. Previous experience in an industrial environment necessary.
* Excellent computer skills, to include all MS Office applications
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate employees and influence management
* Very good organizational skills
* Communicate effectively orally, maintain effective working relationships, excellent customer service skills
* General knowledge of payroll principles and practices
* Ability to successfully pass a practical assessment developed to gauge proficiency with computer application(s) and payroll knowledge
* Ability to read, interpret, write, develop and communicate policies
* Ability to learn and work with computerized payroll, time keeping, and tracking systems
* Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
