11/27/11 - Ellie is a 32 lb. small Shepherd/Beagle mix. We rescued her and her litter-mates as a tiny puppy, and she was placed with one of our volunteers. After a year, the volunteer has y returned her because she is so shy. The others in the litter were not shy at all, and we do not know how Ellie developed this characteristic. She desperately needs someone to love her and to let her know that there is nothing to be afraid of. She is presently in the hands of a trainer and is doing better. She is a very sweet dog; and when she attaches herself to you, it is a solid bond.
