Uno is a sweet dog but young, energetic and excitable (do you expect any less from a young lab?). Why are we listing him as having hound in him? You'll know when you hear him bark. Uno was abused as a puppy and lost one eye. He does just fine with only one eye though. Like many labs, Uno is the kind of dog that needs a job to do. The job he carves out for himself is fearless guardian and protector of house and home. He takes this job seriously. Admirable of him but keep that in mind if you have a lot of people coming in and out of your home. If you are planning a dinner party, plan ahead for Uno. If the cable guy is coming over, plan ahead. Just because someone comes over once, does not mean the next time Uno will accept the person. This is a huge responsibility.
