Lacey is a beautiful, young tuxedo cat who started her life outdoors. She was born to a semi-tame mother and was the only kitten of the litter who survived the busy subdivision streets. Surprisingly, she decided early in life that she liked people and was gradually "adopted" by several neighbors who became very fond of her. None could keep her for their own, though, and she came to Second Chance after she was injured, probably by a car. She had surgery to repair a knee fracture in a back leg and, lucky girl, got to move indoors! Being in a foster home was a series of discoveries for Lacey-- carpets, stairs, ceiling fans, TVs, friendly dogs, catnip and cozy warm laps. She is understandably a bit hesitant in new situations but is also trusting, affectionate and playful. She is great with the litterbox and scratching posts.
