Dahlia is a special needs cat who is looking for an experienced adopter. She was recently diagnosed as being "hyperthyroid" and will need medicine twice a day until we can do a radio-iodine treatment for her. Dahlia is loving and affectionate and will be a wonderful companion for the lucky person who adopts her. She is spayed, up-to-date with shots, and good with cats, kids, and dogs. She was previously declawed by a former owner. Dahlia's Story : I used to live with a very gentle woman I loved. She sang to me in Spanish, and I especially loved that. Something very bad happened to her, and some man came and got me and took me to a new home. I didn't like it there, and I was so sad without my human. I got out and went to look for her. He gave me to the Howard County Cat Club, but I was so sad there. I missed my human so much I didn't want to eat or do anything except hide. Every day, a nice woman came to visit me and hold me on her lap. She played Spanish music for me, too, and I liked that. When she was visiting me was the only time I was happy. She's my foster "mom" now, and I'm staying at her house until I get adopted. If you have a comfy lap and lots of love to give, we really should meet.
