Boxer: An adoptable dog in Columbia, SC in Columbia, South Carolina For Sale

April 18, xxxx... Grandpa is an older (appr 8yrs old) un-neutered Boxer male from the NC area originally. He was found as a stray and was very thin when he was pulled from the shelter. He rides well in a car and is fine with being handled (He let me pick up his back end to help him into the jeep). He is very sweet and wants very badly to be in human company. He got along with a 1.5 year old male Olde English Bulldog fine, but was somewhat territorial with food and toys. I would recommend feeding him separately until he understands that meals will be coming on a regular basis! He didnt really pay much attention to my cat, but I can tell would have chased if given the chance. Grandpa walked well on a leash, but can be a Houdini in getting off of the leash or out of a fence. He did not like to be in a crate at all, and had anxiety going in and while in there (licked the crate for long periods of time). Definitely needs time to build...
