Whistle is very smart and eager to please. He is great with children of all ages (he's been around kids as young as 18 months!) though he can knock over toddlers. He is crate trained, was housebroken (may need a quick tuneup!) and playful. He is a bit of a talker but not in an obnoxious bark-all-the-time way. He simply has no problem telling you what he thinks! He rides well in cars but will pull on a leash. His leash manners will need additional work. He has not shown any inclination to go over fences or try to dig out of yards. Whistle should make a great addition to any home looking for a playful and enthusiastic boy. At the shelter, we have found that Whistle gets along with female dogs but not males. He gets very excited around cats and needs to be in a cat free home.
